Bombay HC condemns police dept for filing incomplete charge sheets

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court condemned the police department for filing incomplete charge sheets in criminal cases. 

According to the court, incomplete charge sheets resulted in miscarriage of justice as bail is often denied to the accused who continue to suffer in prison for this lapse.

The court also said that important documents such as post-mortem reports are often found missing from the charge sheets, and added that observations made on the issue in the past appeared to have been ignore.
