Shirdi: Maharashtra Cooperation and PWD Minister Chandrakant Patil said here that it will be ensured that action is taken against cooperative societies and sugar factories upon receiving complaints of irregularity against them.

Talking to reporters yesterday, Patil alleged that the previous Congress-NCP government had stayed inquiry in as many as 2,000 cases against cooperative sugar factories and credit societies in the state but the ruling-BJP government has once again reopened the cases.

He said action has already been taken against 40 directors of Kolhapur Central Co-operative bank. On formation of new board of directors for the Shri Saibaba temple trust, Patil said that post presentation of the state's annual budget, appointment of members in the Board of directors shall be done in May.
