Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister
Prithviraj Chavan on Wednesday said that demolition of religious
structures constructed unauthorisedly will be stayed till a
new policy is framed.
The assurance was given to a delegation of group leaders
of BMC led by Mayor Shraddha Jadhav.

BJP group leader in the civic body Ashish Shelar said
Chavan admitted that there was lacuna in the government
resolution of October 4 last year which spoke about demolition
of unauthorised religious structures.
"Chief Minister said new policy will be based on
relocation rather than demolition. I demanded that the new
policy be directed to the BMC for suggestions and objections
prior to finalisation," Shelar added.
