Nashik: A junior clerk of Malegaon Municipal Corporation was arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant, ACB said on Thursday.

The accused, Kuvarsingh Ramsingh Saingar, had demanded Rs 20,000 from a teacher of the civic body's Urdu school to reinstate him in service after his suspension, an ACB release here said.

The primary school teacher in Malegaon Municipal Corporation's Urdu school was suspended from service on January 2 this year.

He then approached the Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court, challenging his suspension.
