Mumbai: BJP chief minister designate Devendra Fadnavis's 5-year-old daughter Divija will be the youngest occupant of CM's official bungalow Varsha in Maharashtra.
Divija is a KG student in Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir.
Earlier, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule was the youngest occupant of CM's official bungalow. She was 9-years old when her father became the youngest Maharashtra chief minister at the age of 38. At present Supriya is a MP from Baramati district of Maharashtra.
From an obscure corporator to becoming the youngest Mayor of Nagpur, to the first BJP Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis' climb up the political ladder has been steady.
In a state dominated by Maratha politics and politicians, the 44-year-old leader, with deep roots in RSS, is only the second Brahmin after BJP's estranged ally Shiv Sena's Manohar Joshi to become Chief Minister.
Fadnavis will be sworn-in as Maharashtra CM on Friday. The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP's first government in Maharashtra promises to be a grand affair with top personalities and celebs expected at the Wankhede Stadium.
Maharashtra Governor CV Rao will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister-designate Devendra Fadnavis, 44, and a small initial team of cabinet ministers Friday evening.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, union ministers, top BJP leaders and party chief ministers will attend the ceremony.
