Nashik: A warehouse here, illegally stacked with about 100 gas cylinders, caught fire Tuesday after a cylinder exploded, police said.

"As many as 98 cylinders were stacked in the godown (warehouse). However, only 10 were filled with gas, while the others were empty," said a police official.

"According to preliminary reports, one cylinder exploded and the godown caught fire. After the fire was doused, we found 10 cylinders in blasted condition," he added.

Police have arrested the owner of the godown Manoj Nair after he failed to produce any licence for the warehouse.
