Amravati: Apparently frustrated over a debt of Rs 16,000, a farmer allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in Malipura locality of Chandur Railway town here, police said today.

The deceased Roshan Pramod Hole, (21), was under pressure as he was not in a position to return a loan of Rs 16,000 that he had borrowed from a co-operative credit society, they said.

Following this he ended his life by consuming poison on Saturday last, they said.
