Pune: About 40 two-wheelers and a car
were burnt in a fire that broke out in the parking area of a
housing society in Kondhava in Pune on Monday, fire brigade said.

The fire, reportedly ignited by an electric short-
circuit, also gutted six autorickshawas in the vicinity. There
were, however, no casualties, police said.

A spokesman of `Mahavitaran`, Maharashtra Electricity
Distribution Company, said there was no prime-facie evidence
pointing to the blaze being caused by a short-circuit.

Police are investigating as to whether the fire was
caused by an accident or was an act of sabotage.
