Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's wife was bitten by their pet dog Bond on and had to undergo surgery.

According to a doctor, the reasons behind it many be many.

One, dogs become violent if they are deprived of reproduction.

Two, they become jealous if their owner shows more affection to others.

In such a case they tend to attack that person.

It cannot be said for sure but one of the above reasons may have been behind Bond getting violent.

A party functionary had said that the incident had occurred on Tuesday when one of their two pet Great Danes 'Bond' bit Sharmila on the face at the couple's house Krushna Kunj in Dadar.

She was rushed to the Hinduja Hospital where she underwent surgery.

The couple love dogs and have another dog named 'James'.
