High-speed bus collision kills 15 in Maharashtra
Around 15 people died in a collision between two private buses in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra.
Buldhana, Maharasthra: In a tragic incident, 15 people died in a collision between two private luxury buses in the district early Monday.
The mishap occurred around 3.30 am on the Mehkar-Sultanpur stretch of the Aurangabad-Nagpur highway, around 300km from Nagpur. Most of the passengers were sleeping when the two luxury private buses collided head-on.
The impact of the collision was such that both buses caught fire; most of those who lost their lives were burnt to death. Of the 50 others who were injured in the high-speed crash, 20 sare said to be in a critical condition.
The buses belonged to Royal Travels and Soni Travels. One of them was coming from Nagpur and going to Pune while the other was going to Nagpur.
