IIT-Bombay Alumni Association launches Global Business Forum

 IIT Bombay Alumni Association on Friday launched a Global Business Forum (GBF) here to showcase original technology businesses and research from the institute's community, aimed at improving collaboration between businesses, governments and academia.

Mumbai: IIT Bombay Alumni Association on Friday launched a Global Business Forum (GBF) here to showcase original technology businesses and research from the institute's community, aimed at improving collaboration between businesses, governments and academia.

Speaking in absentia at the event, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who also is an alumnus said: "When I travel throughout the country I hear the desire of the youth for trade and development that actually helps the nation and empowers Indians for the long term".

GBF 2015 will showcase technological innovation and expertise in energy, education and skill development, healthcare, environment, infrastructure, smart cities, information, communication technology and manufacturing.

"We would have to do more to empower the next generation of Indian entrepreneurs and businesses," Parrikar said.
