Mumbai: A jewellery showroom located in Nalasopara east was allegedly looted by a group of unidentified and heavily armed robbers on Saturday evening.
The gang of robbers who looted valuables worth Rs 1.15 crore had covered their faces with handkerchief when they barged into the jewellery showroom.
However, the robbery was captured on the closed circuit television of the showroom located on the link road in Nalasopara.
According to the police, five masked men entered the showroom at 6.59 pm. They threatened the owner with a revolver and robbed high value gold ornaments.
The CCTV footage also shows one of the accused reaching out to the CCTV and turning its direction before leaving the showroom.
A case has been registered under gvarious sections of the IPC and the police have also obtainedthe CCTV footage.
