Nashik: Reacting to the resignation of
Kripashankar Singh as the chief of Mumbai Congress on Wednesday,
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan here said that
Singh had quit following the party's bad performance in Mumbai
civic polls.
The Chief Minister was talking to reporters after
inaugurating the 55th All-India Police Duty Meet at
Maharashtra Police Academy this evening.
The announcement of Singh's resignation came soon after
the Bombay High Court directed his prosecution on corruption
charges.
