Land Acquisition Officer caught while taking bribe in Jalgaon

Nashik: Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths in
Jalgaon today caught a deputy collector-grade Land Acquisition
Officer red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 15,000, Bureau
sources said.

Land Acquisition Officer Praveen Ratnakar Mahire had
allegedly demanded money to hand over the cheque of
compensation to the complainant whose ancestral land at
Bhatkheda-Shivar had been acquired.
