Sale of arrack has been banned in the border area of Karnataka-Maharashtra for three days from on Monday in the wake of October 15 Assembly polls in Maharashtra.

Belgaum: Sale of arrack has been banned in the border area of Karnataka-Maharashtra for three days from on Monday in the wake of October 15 Assembly polls in Maharashtra.

An order to this effect was issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Belgaum, covering Belgaum, Khanapur, Athani, Hukkeri, Chikodi and Raibag taluka villages, an official release said.
