Maha: Akot tense over disrespect to religious book
A tense situation prevailed in Akot town following stone pelting by angry mob over reports of alleged disrespect shown to a religious book.
Akola: A tense situation prevailed
in Akot town, nearly 45 km away from here, following stone
pelting by angry mob over reports of alleged disrespect shown
to a religious book, police said on Sunday.
According to them, angry mob pelted stones on some
shops situated on the main road and forcibly downed the
shutters yesterday following the reported incident.

Ravindran, along with additional police force rushed to the
spot and brought the situation under control.
Additional police force has been deployed in the
troubled area and senior citizens, including peace committee
members, intervened to bring the situation under control.
