Mumbai: Maharashtra ATS on Thursday claimed to
have busted an international fake currency racket with the
arrest of a man hailing from West Bengal and seized fake
currency of Rs 5 lakh from him.
The accused had been pumping in the counterfeit notes in
Indian market with the help of his associates in Pakistan and
Bangladesh for nearly five years, the ATS said.

The accused had been pumping in the counterfeit notes in
Indian market with the help of his associates in Pakistan and
Bangladesh for nearly five years, the ATS said.
"Shaikh had earlier come to Mumbai twice when he
delivered Rs five lakh fake currency to his associates in
Mumbai," the official added.
The accused was produced before a local court on
Tuesday and was remanded in police custody till April 11, the
official said.
