Nagpur: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister
Ajit Pawar on Saturday said he would seek details from the police
department regarding alleged threats from Hindu militant
organisations to slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare.
Asked to comment on Congress leader Digvijay Singh's
remarks, Pawar said he would convene a meeting of police
officials and also Home Minister R R Patil to know the details
of the issue.
Singh, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, had
yesterday claimed that Kakare had called on his mobile two
hours before he was killed during the 26/11 Mumbai terror
attack saying he (Karkare) was fearing for life from Hindu
extremists.
