Maha Governor greets people on `Vijaya Dashmi`

Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan today greeted the people of Maharashtra on the auspicious occasion of Dussera, also known as Vijaya Dashmi.

Sankaranarayanan today greeted the people of Maharashtra on
the auspicious occasion of Dussera, also known as Vijaya
Dashmi.

In a message to the people, the Governor said, "Vijaya
Dashmi commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. In a
greater sense, the day signifies the triumph of righteousness
over evil forces.

"Vijaya Dashmi is regarded as one of the holiest days by
the people of India. I congratulate the people on this
auspicious occasion and wish them peace, progress and
prosperity," he said.
