Maha: Three cops arrested for beating up hotelier

Thane: The city police arrested four people including three policemen for allegedly abusing and roughing up a hotelier.

The four had gone to a bar for dinner and drinks.

After they were asked to pay their bills they allegedly beat the owner back and blue, abusing the hotelier, Rabodi police station`s police inspector D K Gughe said.

The names of those hald are constable A A Kadam, inspector S S Sapkal, police driver S S Lande and one D P Payre.

They have been booked under Sections 341, 447, 323, 504 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint by hotelier Sunil Shetty, the police said.
