Maharashtra Assembly revokes suspension of five Congress MLAs

The Maharastra state Legislative Assembly Tuesday revoked the suspension of five Congress MLAs, who were held responsible for creating a ruckus as well as misbehaving with the Maharashtra Governor who arrived to address the first joint sitting of the state legislature.

Nagpur: The Maharastra state Legislative Assembly Tuesday revoked the suspension of five Congress MLAs, who were held responsible for creating a ruckus as well as misbehaving with the Maharashtra Governor who arrived to address the first joint sitting of the state legislature.

The five Congress MLAs are Rahul Bondre (Chikhali), Jaikumar Gore (Maan), Amar Kale (Arvi), Virendra Jagtap (Dhamangaon Railway) and Abdul Sattar (Sillod).

They were suspended for an unspecified period and were not allowed to enter Vidhan Bhawan premises during the ongoing winter session here.

Today, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Girish Bapat read out the report of an internal committee which recommended revoking their suspension with immediate affect.
