Maharashtra youth freed in Angola, to return home

A youth from Bhusawal in North Maharashtra has been freed from captivity on board a ship in Angola and would return home in two days, according to MP Raksha Khadese.

Mumbai: A youth from Bhusawal in North Maharashtra has been freed from captivity on board a ship in Angola and would return home in two days, according to MP Raksha Khadese.

"I contacted the Indian Consulate there and the African authorities, after which the youth Kaustubh Pardesi, 28, was freed and will return to India in two days," Khadse, who is Member, Standing Committee on External Affairs, said.

"Kaustubh was among the seven Indians being held aboard a ship belonging to the Apex Marines company in Angola since June," the Lok Sabha member from Raver said.

Kaustubh's mother Savita said Maharashtra Revenue Minister and Raksha's father-in-law Eknath Khadse, gave her the news that her son has been freed and will return home soon.
