Man detained for `shirtless` act near Maha Assembly

Nagpur: A person was detained in the Vidhan
Bhawan premises here after he took off his shirt, in a bid to
attract attention, when Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan was
making a statement about financial help to the farmers.

Girjesh Anantram Rahamatkar who was standing at a
distance, suddenly removed his shirt following which security
personnel present there detained him and took him to their
Chief Security Officer Shivaji Bodkhe said to a news agency that
investigations were on to ascertain his motive which
were prima facie were not to end his life. "It seems
he was inviting media attention," Bodkhe added.
