Aurangabad: In a day of high drama,
Maoists on Sunday kidnapped RJD MLA Mohammad Nehaluddin, his
bodyguard and 12 others after torching his vehicle in this
Bihar district but released them a few hours later.

Over 100 Maoists surrounded the vehicle of Nehaluddin,
who is seeking another term from Rafiganj, and took him
hostage when he was campaigning at Laltenganj village, SP
Vivek Raj Singh told PTI.

They damaged and torched his vehicle and took him
away, he said.

A few hours later, the ultras left them at a place in
the forests from where Nehaluddin, along with others, walked
down to Laltenganj village, the spot where from they were
kidnapped, Singh said.

The Maoists have given a call for boycott of the
assembly elections in Bihar.

The Rafiganj Assembly constituency will go to poll in
the final phase on November 20.
