Jalna: A 5-year-old girl was on Tuesday allegedly raped by her uncle at Dhakalgoan village in Ambad tehsil of the district, police said.
The victim's parents had gone to Baramati and had left her with her aunt, Assistant Police Inspector Gondi Police Station Sitaram Mehtre said.
"Her uncle raped her when she was alone in the house. Her aunt had gone for work. After returning home, the girl narrated her ordeal to the aunt," he added.
A case was registered and the accused was immediately arrested. He was produced in a local court which sent him in five-day police custody, he added.
