Thane: In a shocking incident of moral policing, a video has surfaced in the social media purportedly showing a group of people badly thrashing a couple at the Badlapur skywalk near Ulhasnagar.

In the video, the mob is shown threatening and beating the young couple repeatedly in spite of their apology.

"I am sorry. I've come here for the first time,” the boy said.

Surprisingly, the girl was also seen getting slapped by a women, whereas a man in the video kept on slapping the boy and was also heard threatening the couple.

The man further demanded that the couple should call their parents and narrate the entire incident due to which they were beaten-up, as per the video.

However, justifying their act, a local resident, who slapped the girl said the couple was beat-up apparently for indulging in 'indecent behaviour' at a public place.

As per an English news channel, the resident further said to teach the couple a lesson and to stop such acts they thrashed them with the help of few members of a political party.

Meanwhile, as per reports, cops weren't aware of this matter as no FIR has been lodged so far. Latest reports say the local police have not even took suo motu cognisance in the case.

Notably, the incident has once again raised questions over how the so-called moral policing can indulge in such a kind of brutal violence and take the law in their own hands.
