Mumbai: Maharashtra Government on Wednesday said
that the work of Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor under
phase I of Mumbai Metro Railway project is scheduled to be
completed by November 11.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is also the state
Finance Minister, said in his budget speech in the Assembly
that Central government had approved the Viability Gap Funding
of Rs 1,532 crore for Phase II, the Charkop- Bandra-Mankhurd
corridor.
He also said that in the Phase I of Mumbai Urban
Infrastructure Project, different works costing Rs 2,500 crore
altogether have been taken up, and an expenditure of Rs 2,000
crore has been incurred upto December 2010.
Work of elevated corridor connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji
International Airport and the eastern freeway has also been
undertaken, he added.
