Mumbai: Three persons crossing the railway tracks were run over by a speeding suburban train between Matunga and Mahim railway stations, police said on Saturday.

Rohit Neverekar (20), Barkat Ali Sayyed (18), and Salman Ayub Shaikh (32) were knocked down by the train at about 9.45 PM last night, police said.

The three were residents of a Mahim slum, police said, adding that they were taken to Nair Hospital, where they were declared dead before admission.
