Nashik: Five lakh pilgrims from all over
Maharashtra especially from Khandesh region gathered at the
famous Saptshrungi goddess temple atop Nanduri here on the
occasion of `Chaitra Poornima`.
The devotees offered prayers and witnessed the fair,
which began here last night after the traditional
`kirtidhwaja` atop the temple was hoisted at midnight by the
priest marking the beginning of the weeklong event.
Police have beefed up security arrangements on the hill
for the annual weeklong fair, Suresh Nikam, development
officer of the temple trust told reporters.
