National Disaster Response Force teams in Mumbai

The Centre has sent three teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to handle emergency situation arising out of heavy rains.

Mumbai: The Centre has sent three teams of
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to handle emergency
situation arising out of heavy rains.

"The Centre has sent three teams of NDRF to Mumbai
considering heavy rainfall in coming days. The teams are
stationed at Bhandup and Kurla in central suburbs and Andheri
in western suburbs," Deputy Chief Minister, Chhagan Bhujbal
said.

The teams have modern equipment, boats, cutters and
cameras and lights which can work under water also, Bhujbal
said. Nine companies of Navy are ready to deal with any
emergency, he added.
