NCP minister's PA held for molestation

Mumbai: The Chembur Police have arrested the personal assistant (PA) of Maharashtra’s Medical Education and Horticulture Minister Vijay Kumar Gawit for allegedly molesting a woman.

Reports said the police arrested Vishnu Patil after a 28-year-old woman lodged a case against him.

In her complaint, the woman alleged Patil molested her when they had gone out for a drink at a restaurant. Patil had earlier assured the woman that he would help her in getting her work done.

The woman said she had been trying for several days to meet the minister, and his PA had assured her that he would do her job.

According to police, the woman wanted to meet the minister to discuss the transfer of a hospital nurse.

The incident took place a couple of days ago.

Vijay Kumar Gawit is a senior leader of the NCP and the incident has caused the party embarrassment.

The NCP leadership is to be blamed for this. They have created a culture of corruption, unethical attitude and immoral behaviour. If Sharad Pawar can get away by stashing billions of dollars, I am sure it is done with the help of his ministers and their respective staff (PA`s). One sure shot way of decreasing this type of immoral acts is to arrest Sharad Pawar, throw him in jail and get all the 15,000 crores he has returned to the exchequer. This will stop his ministers and their respective PA`s from thinking that they are above the law. Corruption is the mother of all evil.
