New-born girl found abandoned in Maharashtra

Thane: A newly-born girl was found abandoned in the city`s Vartak Nagar locality in the early hours of Monday, police said.
Some of the people who had come out for a morning walk, found the abandoned baby lying on the ground of a Firing Range around 6.30 am and later informed the Vartak Nagar police, who took the infant`s custody.
The baby was later taken to Thane Civil Hospital and has been kept under the medical care, they said.
