New medical college in Chandrapur to begin in current session

 The new government Medical College being set up here will start in the current academic session, Maharashtra Finance and Planning minster Sudhir Mungantiwar said.

Chandrapur: The new government Medical College being set up here will start in the current academic session, Maharashtra Finance and Planning minster Sudhir Mungantiwar said.

The minister inaugurated the Dean's office at the college here yesterday and urged members of the local chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA) to extend cooperation in opening of the institute.

Vice President of Maharashtra IMA, Dr Mangesh Gulwade assured of all possible cooperation from the members of local IMA and medical fraternity for smooth functioning of the college.

District collector Deepak Mhaisekar, chief executive officer, Zilla Parishad, Ashutosh Salil, sub- divisional officer, Sanjay Daine, district member civil surgeon Dr Murambikar, Dr Anant Hazare, IMA members and other prominent doctors of the city were present.

Dean Dr Pradeep Dixit proposed the vote of thanks.
