Thane: Dismissing reports of any face-off
between him and the BJP national president Nitin Gadkari,
senior party leader Gopinath Munde has asserted that there
were no differences between them.
Munde and Gadkari had yesterday come together at a
book release function at `Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini` here,
when Munde praised the latter for his work as a former PWD
Minister of Maharashtra and also as the party president.
Munde said that Gadkari, during his tenure as PWD
minister in Maharashtra, had achieved the feat of constructing
the ambitious Mumbai-Pune Expressway project at a cost of Rs
1,200 crore, much below the Rs 3,600 crore cost quoted by a

possible," Munde said, adding Gadkari has the determination to
achieve the best.
Gadkari said that even though the democratic system in
the country is good, the persons who are at the helm of
affairs are not so. "The country will improve, only if the
main pillars of democracy undergo a radical change," he said.
The already reportedly strained relations between
Gadkari and Munde had further soured over the appointment of
the party chief in Pune earlier this year. Munde was
reportedly unhappy over the appointment of Vikas Mathkari, who
is said to be from the Gadkari camp, as party`s Pune unit
