Thane: An 87-year-old woman on thursday was robbed
of Rs 26 lakh at knife-point by two burglars at her residence, police said.
The victim Gulab Jain was alone at her flat in Suvrata
Apartment in central part of the city when two youths gained
entry inside the premises saying they had brought 'prasad' for
her, they said.
As Jain let them inside, the duo whipped out a knife and
tied her before decamping with the gold ornaments worth Rs 22
lakh and Rs 4 lakh in cash.
