Mumbai: NCP president Sharad Pawar on Friday met prominent leaders of his party to discuss strategy for the Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled this winter.
Besides Pawar, Praful Patel, Deputy Maharashtra Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra state unit chief Sunil Tataare, Home Minister R R Patil, Rural Development Minister Jayant Patil, Minister of State for Housing Sachin Ahir were prominent among those present at the meeting.


Party spokesman Nawab Malik said that deliberations revolved around discussing the political situation in Maharashtra, as well as organisational preparedness.
