With civic polls in Maharashtra throwing up mixed results for the NCP, Sharad Pawar met senior leaders to review the election performance.

New Delhi: With civic polls in Maharashtra
throwing up mixed results for the NCP, party chief Sharad
Pawar on Monday met senior leaders to review the election
performance.

Pawar took a detail review of the NCP`s performance at
meeting attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit
Pawar, senior party leaders Chhagan Bhujbal, Jayant Patil,
Madhukar Pichad, Sunil Tatkare among others, party sources
said.

Though the NCP, which contested some civic body polls in
alliance with the Congress, emerged as the party winning
maximum seats in district councils, it failed to wrest the
prestigious Mumbai and Thane civic corporations from the Shiv
Sena-BJP combine.
