Mumbai: Maharashtra NCP chief Madhukar Pichad on Wednesday said that people would give a fitting reply to
Anna Hazare for his comments justifying the slapping.
Pichad was reacting to Hazare`s remarks last night that a
person is left with no option but to slap when his capacity to
tolerate corruption runs out.
"When Anna made such comments (in the past), people gave
him a reply. We believe in democracy," Pichad said referring
to the 74-year-old anti-corruption activist quipping "just one
slap?" after a man slapped NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Delhi.
In the municipal council elections in the state last month
(after the slapping incident in Delhi), NCP emerged as the
single largest party at 195 councils.
