Protest by Nashik media against journalist killing

Journalists submitted a memorandum to the collector of Nashik, P Velrasu, demanding a special law to protect journalists.

Nashik: Journalists belonging to both
the print and electronic media, on Monday staged demonstrations in
front of District Collectorate here to register their protest
against the killing of Jyotirmoy Dey, a veteran crime reporter
in Mumbai.

They submitted a memorandum to the collector P Velrasu,
demanding a special law to protect journalists. Yashwant
Pawar, President of Nashik Zilla Patrakar Sangh told reporters
here.
