Retd CJs of Bombay HC to be treated as "state guests"

All retired Chief Justices of Bombay High Court, who have served for three years and are now residing outside Maharashtra, will be accorded status of a state guest.

Mumbai: All retired Chief Justices of Bombay High Court, who have served for three years and are now residing outside Maharashtra, will be accorded status of a state guest.

As per a Government Resolution (GR), those who have served as Chief Justice of Bombay High Court for minimum three years and have settled outside the state after retirement will be treated as "state guest" during their visit to Maharashtra.

A proposal to this effect was pending with the state government, said the GR issued yesterday.
