Pune: Following an alert from the
intelligence agencies, the Pune district and sessions court
lawyers on Monday held a meeting with police over tightening of
security around the court.

"During the meeting, it was decided to issue identity
cards to lawyers, court staff and judges. They would also have
to undergo a thorough search," Pune Bar Association president
Dhananjay Taur said.

"We have appealed to the advocates to cooperate with the
administration and police. We have also appealed to the women
lawyers not to wear scarves in the court premises," he said.
According to police, the meeting was held to assess
security at court premises and to decide what measures need to
be taken to increase it.
