Sena taunts BJP over Pak flags in J&K, says 'don't forget nation's interest'

Taunting its ally in Maharashtra over the surfacing of Pakistani flags in the valley, the Shiv Sena on Friday said being in power doesn't mean that the BJP will forget the nation's interest.

Mumbai: Taunting its ally in Maharashtra over the surfacing of Pakistani flags in the valley, the Shiv Sena on Friday said being in power doesn't mean that the BJP will forget the nation's interest.

"The BJP should raise its voice there (Srinagar), being in power doesn't mean they will forget issues of nation's interest," Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI.

The Shiv Sena's rebuke comes after the Congress party demanded that the PDP- BJP coalition Government should deal with separatist elements with an 'iron rod'.

Pakistani and ISIS flags were reportedly waved today in Srinagar after the Juma-tul-Wida namaz, which is held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan.

The city also witnessed a clash between police and protesters, where the former resorted to tear gas shelling in order to disperse the stone-pelting agitators.
