Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena has made a scathing attack on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Sharad Pawar and called it a party of rats, who have looted the coffers when they were in power.
In an editorial published in its mouthpiece Saamana, the party alleged that the NCP is a party which is involved deep-neck in corruption and questioned the moral ground on which the latter has offered support to the Devendra fadnavis-led BJP government in Maharashtra.
The Shiv Sena also slammed the BJP for its growing closeness with NCP and reportedly trying to take its support to survive the trust vote.
The Shiv Sena also wondered how will the BJP save its government with the support of a party which was relegated to fourth position in the recent assembly polls by the voters of Maharashtra.
While terming the NCP as a party of rats, the Shiv Sena editorial also doubted whether BJP will take support from MIM as well to survive the trust vote.
Interestingly, the Shiv Sena today decided to vote against the Fadnavis government during the trust vote. It had earlier threatened to sit in opposition if the BJP took support of the NCP.
