New Delhi: Two years after the death of Bal Thackeray, the Shiv Sena is planning to come out with a movie on its founder on his birth anniversary next month.
The party has already created a buzz on social media with pictures of the late Sena patriarch saying, "Tumhi Bolavlat. Vat Paha. January 23 la (You called me, I am coming. Keep waiting. I am coming on January 23".
"As of now I can only say that it is going to be a film," Sena MP and editor of party mouth piece Sanjay Raut told PTI, but refused to divulge further details of the project.
However, sources added that the art work would be a short film directed by a noted director, who is associated with acclaimed Marathi and Hindi movies.
The party's youth leader and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's son Aaditya is known to be behind the project.
Sources added that there was a demand from the party cadre to come up with a movie on their leader.
The film will be released on January 23 on the birthday of Bal Thackeray with much fanfare.
Bal Thackeray passed away in November 2012.
