Teenager rams car into pedestrians; one killed, 6 injured

A 62-year-old man was on Tuesday killed and six others got injured when a car being driven by a 19-year-old youth hit them near Golden Swan hotel in suburban Santacruz, police said.

Mumbai: A 62-year-old man was on Tuesday killed and six others got injured when a car being driven by a 19-year-old youth hit them near Golden Swan hotel in suburban Santacruz, police said.
The accused, Harse Premeji Patel, was driving a Maruti car and he rammed into five men and two women, all pedestrians, apparently after losing control of the vehicle, police said.

One of the victims, Narayan Tanu Pujari, later succumbed to injuries.
Patel has been taken into custody and will be produced before a court tomorrow, they added.
