Mumbai: India's financial capital Mumbai is again on the radar of terrorists, reports claimed on Saturday.

As per an IBN7 report, terrorists could target Mumbai on New Year.

Taking precautions, the Mumbai Police has gone into alert mode and and banned private New Year boat parties on the city's coastline.

No one will be allowed to hold any party on a boat or yatcht on the night of December 31, police sources said.

Marine patrols would be conducted on New Year's eve on Mumbai's coast, the report said.

A three-tier security system will be in place for the New Year. The naval boundary will be secured by the Navy while the Coast Guard will patrol waters off the Mumbai coast. The coastline will be manned by the Marine Police.
