Thane: Noted thought leader Sundeep Waslekar has appealed to newly-elected MPs to win hearts of people after winning elections.

"You have won votes and now it is the time to work towards winning confidence of citizens and finding a place in their heart. You should become generous and win hearts (of people)," Waslekar said.

He delivered a lecture at Ram Gadkari auditorium here yesterday on the theme "125 Koti Pavlancha Artha" (Meaning of 125 crore footsteps).

The lecture was organised by the Vishwa Samwad Kendra, an organisation dominated by the RSS and like-minded groups.

President of Maharashtra unit of BJP Devendra Fadnavis presided over the lecture and spoke on development of county under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Three saffron MPs elected from the district, namely Rajan Vichare (Thane) Dr. Srikant Shinde (Kalyan) and Kapil Patil (Bhiwandi) were felicitated on the occasion.
