Two ACB officials, 4 constables killed in road accident

Two Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials were among six killed when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Amravati.

Mumbai: Two Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials were among six killed when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at Amravati.
As per reports, apart from the two ACB officials four constables also died in the accident while three others were injured.

The mishap occurred at around 5 AM when the ACB personnel were returning to Amravati to attend the Maharashtra Day function from Shirpur Jain village in Washim district where they had gone to conduct searches at the residences of five accused held in a bribery case of Rs seven lakh, they said.

The driver of the ill-fated Tata Sumo jeep lost control of the vehicle following which it rammed into a roadside tree and an electric pole nearby.
