Two Naxals surrender in Gadchiroli

Nagpur: Two Naxals, including a woman, have surrendered before the Gadchiroli police.

Police today identified them as Somi alias Nirmala Lalu Kulmethe (25) and Jagat alias Sukhram Sonu Madavi (19). Both surrendered yesterday.

According to the police, Somi became a Naxal in 2000, and worked with Aheri, Bhamragarh, Kohkaneta (Chhattisgarh) 'dalams' (groups) of the ultras over the last decade.

Jagat was an active Naxal since 2000, and worked in neighbouring Chhattisgarh state. Both of them were involved in number of crimes and also taught in schools run by the ultras in Chhattisgarh, police said.
