Mumbai: A day after the murder of a police
informer in Dindoshi here, two alleged history-sheeters on Sunday
surrendered themselves before the police in connection with
the case, police said.

The duo, identified Abdul Latif and Abdul Satar, was
arrested, while their accomplice Mohammed Hamzad is still
absconding, they said.

The victim Muktar Sheikh, a resident of suburban
Goregaon, was stabbed to death in Jitendra Nagar yesterday,
after which his assailants had fled.

However, on Sunday Latif and Satar surrendered before police
and confessed to their crime saying that they had murdered
Sheikh as he had falsely implicated them for crimes they had
not committed, police said.
